the David Sheldrick
Wildlife Trust, Daphne Sheldrick has
succeeded in rearing over 40 newborn infant elephants,
and many older elephant orphans have been retrieved
in an emaciated condition during drought periods, and
once strong, have been successfully returned to their
wild herds.
